GoPro has announced that the Protune firmware upgrade that was unveiled at NAB 2012 is now available for download. Most notably, the Protune firmware upgrade adds the ability to shoot 24p with a 35Mbps data rate on the GoPro HERO2.
GoPro announced some pretty exciting stuff for the POV market at NAB 2012. A new firmware upgrade for the GoPro HERO2 called Protune adds 24p and 35Mbps data rate to the HERO2. In partnership with Technicolor, the new Protune update adds the ability to shoot with a flat Cinestyle developed by Technicolor.
The Yashuhara Nanoha x5 macro lens is available for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras. The 5:1 magnification of this little lens is incredible. It sports a zoom range that goes from 4x to 5x as well as built-in illumination. The iSupport is a $49 iPhone camera rig, which basically gives you better handling and mounting options. It can handle a bare iPhone or an iPhone in a case. It also has a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom for tripod or heavier duty rig mounting.

The newest addition to Varavon’s Slidecam lineup are the aptly-named Lite800 and Lite600. I stopped by the Varavon booth at NAB 2012 to get a closer look at these new sliders.
