The Sony A99 is a 24.3MP full frame DSLR that packs a punch on both the still image and video capture side of things. The A99 is capable of capturing still images at 10 fps in full 24.3MP resolution.

Additional leaked images of the upcoming Sony A99 reveal the absence of built in flash and a traditional ISO hot shoe. As a refresher, the A99 is rumored to feature a full frame 24.3MP CMOS image sensor and capture 1080/60p AVCHD video.

The A99 is rumored to feature a full frame 24.3MP CMOS image sensor and capture 1080/60p AVCHD video with a clean HDMI output. Moreover, the A99 is expected to sport a 102-point AF system that is split between traditional phase-dectect AF points and pixel-level AF points built into the sensor. Check out this image nabbed by Photo Rumors that breaks down the AF-point distribution on the upcoming Sony A99.
The new SLT Alpha A99 will feature 39 ordinary phase-detection AF points (11 are cross-type points) and 63 AF points directly on the A99′s full frame sensor. That’s a total of 102 phase-detection AF points on the Sony A99.
