Update: As of 1/4/10, the Samsung NX10 has been officially announced. For more details, click here.

It appears that the first Samsung NX Series camera will be dubbed the Samsung NX3 and may be slated for official announcement on July 7, 2009 according to a forum poster at OLED.at.  Interestingly, the rumored specs, posted below, include an HD AMOLED display.  The Samsung NV24HD and TL320 have a AMOLED display of 420K.  If this new NX Samsung camera come with that AMOLED (720) will be the first AMOLED with high resolution on a digital camera.  (Thanks Pete.) This would be a first in the digital camera world.

Samsung NX3 Specs

  • Ultra-Precise LED Electronic ViewFinder 1620×1080p/250Hz 3:2 resolution
  • 1X magnification and 100% coverage
  • 3″ AMOLED 960×720 (720p) 3:2 display
  • CMOS sensor 14.6 megapixel 3:2
  • 100-6400 ISO
