Matthews Studio Equipment Premieres New Member of the FloatCam DC-Slider Family at NAB 2012 – HD-DC Slider
March 13, 2012. Burbank, CA. At NAB 2012, Matthews Studio Equipment, the exclusive distributor of all FloatCam products in the United States, North and South America as well as Asia, will introduce the new member of the FloatCam DC-Slider family, HD-DC Slider to support heavier camera like ALEXA.
Over the past year, shooters have put FloatCam DC-Slider, the unique, counter-balanced, multi-function, multi-angled camera platform through its paces supporting a wide range of camera styles (up to the maximum weight of 22-pounds or 10Kg). It’s created more than smooth horizontal camera movement. It has become a mini-jib as well as a six-foot tower. It has been mounted on a single tripod and placed on level or uneven surfaces, where the constant counter-balance has maintained a uniform pressure for smooth camera movement. It’s also captured a wide range of vertical images in both tower and mini-jib function, no matter how acute the angle.
“Now, FloatCam HD-DC Slider can do the same for heavier cameras like ALEXA,” explains Robert Kulesh, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Matthews Studio Equipment. “It can handle much larger cameras without compromising stability, performance and, of course, creativity.”
