There’s a new beta version of the Magic Lantern firmware that ups the 5D Mark II‘s bit rate up to a maximum of 76Mbps, although 66Mbps is the best sustainable bit rate in 24p mode. In order to keep the buffer clear at such a high bit rate, you’ll definitely need a fast CF card.

The 700RC2 still gives you a quick release plate, and it has a pan arm rosette on the right side of the head for adjusting the angle of the solid pan arm included with the head. The 700RC2 also has separate pan and tilt friction locks.
