
Sony Alpha Rumors claims to have a solid tip on the names and specs of the upcoming Sony Alpha DSLRs to be announced in August. The new, mid-range DSLRs are rumored to include 14MP and 16MP sensors, with additional specs provided below.
- A55 (translucent) 16MP 10FPS EVF-1.44M 1.1X magnification 95% AVCHD full hd
- A33 (translucent) 14MP 7FPS EVF-1.44M 1.1X magnification 95% AVCHD full hd
- A560 14MP 7FPS MF recording AVCHD full hd
- A580 16MP 7FPS MF recording AVCHD full hd
The “translucent” spec is in reference to rumors of a pellix mirror system.

wow 10FPS! thats a big number for a mid range camera.
I wonder if it focuses while doing so..
I miss the EVF that was on my DiMage HI7. Would be very interested to see a new EVF on a DSLR.
Skeptical about the EVF…heard they cause loss in light & problem focusing as the membrane vibrates making lens hunt like mad. Wish Sony improve their support for new firmware upgrades…kinda sux at it, thinking of getting rid of mine & get a Canon!
