Sony NEX-7 and NEX-5N

It looks like several of Sony’s new cameras have surfaced in leaked product images.

Above, you can see the Sony NEX-7, NEX-5N, A77 Battery Grip, Sony 16-50mm lens, Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 lens and NEX E-mount 55-210mm lens.

The Sony A77 is no secret; however, one of the few pieces of info that we don’t know about the camera is its actual release date (maybe in July).  You know it has to be closing in though since Sony just listed the A77 in its own official repair guide alongside the A55.

Sony A55 Review

The Sony A55 is the next big step for Sony, which busted onto the scene with the A300 and A350 DSLRs almost 3 years go with their fast live view autofocus.  The A55′s live view autofocus is a step above pretty much everything else on the market, including Sony’s prior models.  And that, is the biggest and best feature on the A55.

The A55 has a 16.2MP CMOS sensor for high-res stills and also captures full 1920 x 1080 HD video.  As an entry-level DSLR, the A55 delivers solid results in both categories. [click to continue…]

In the recent post about the Sony A77 prototype camera on display at CP+, Chris left a comment asking about the price of the new camera, which is due to be released later this year.

Tech analysis website, Chipworks, has confirmed that the Nikon D7000 features a 16.2MP Sony sensor. This is almost certainly the same APS-C sensor found in the Sony A55 and A580 cameras.
