Canon 70D Technical Report

Shipping notices are starting to go out for the Canon 70D from B&H Photo, which means they should start showing up on customers’ doorsteps early next week.

If you haven’t read up on the 70D technical specs and features, you can check out the Canon Camera Museum’s Technical Report that’s now online. Of particular interest is the section on the new Dual Pixel AF system, which I’m looking very forward to trying out.

Previously, several rumors indicated that the Canon 7D Mark II would not make an appearance until 2014. The latest sources from Canon Rumors backs up these rumors – specifically that there is no chance the 7D Mark II will arrive in 2013, and the camera will arrive in the second half of 2014.
