The WANDRD PRVKE Pack is another new photography backpack born on Kickstarter. As of this posting, it is about $3k short of its $60k pledge goal with 16 days remaining on the campaign. It will likely exceed that mark this week.
The bag is built to be an all-purpose backpack for a variety of users and uses. It comes is a removable foam cube inside and internal divider for customizable gear organization options. The cube itself is designed to fit a DSLR body and up to 8 lenses.
The top handles fasten via magnets and are strong enough to hold together on their own. Internally, there is an adjustable tri-fold laptop sleeve that will hold laptops ranging from 13″ to 17″ in size. It is also FAA approved so you can just open the clamshell to pass through the carry-on luggage scan.
You can access the rest of the bag’s contents by either opening the clamshell or opening the roll top. There’s also a side access port so you can quickly grab your camera that stowed inside bag.
Another cool feature is the camera sling integration that piggybacks on a shoulder strap for quick access. Rather than wearing a camera around your neck, you can put the load on the backpack.
A variety of other pouches and pockets provide options for quick access to various accessories, including a tripod pocket and strap.
It is made from tarpaulin and nylon dobby which are weather resistant and extremely durable. Additionally, it includes a dedicated rain cover in its own storage pouch for extreme weather conditions.
There are a number of options available for the PRVKE Pack, starting at $195 on Kickstarter. The bag’s estimated retail price will be $270 when it ships next year.
