After the announcement last fall, Canon USA has finally taken Canon Professional Services (“CPS”) live. In order to be a part of CPS, you must be a full time professional photographer who owns a requisite amount of Canon gear.
Canon CPS Qualifications
Silver Member
- 2 Canon 30D or greater bodies
- 3 Pro lenses
- No annual fee
Gold Member
- 2 Canon 30D or greater bodies
- 3 Pro lenses
- $100 annual fee
Platinum Member
- 2 Canon 5D or greater bodies
- 3 Pro lenses
- $500 annual fee
The higher membership level you are, the more benefits you get. For example, Platinum members get loaner equipment when their gear is being repaired. Gold members get loaners if their equipment isn’t back in the turnaround period. Silver members get no loaners.

I’m a Canon CPS platinum member and can’t get back into my account to add new equipment has anyone else had that problem?
No, actually I just updated the entire list about a month ago. They did change your user name if you were a previous CPS member. You will need to use the new user account.
