Seagate Fall Photo Contest Top 10

Written by Eric Reagan on November 25th, 2008 | 1 Comment

The contest is closed for further entries.  All I can say is “WOW” – there were some really awesome entries.  I had a terribly difficult time culling the entries down to the final 10.  If you look through the Photography Bay Group Pool, I’m sure you’ll find some that you think should be in here.  I went back and forth on several of these; however, I think all of these are fantastic “Fall” images that deserve to be in the top 10.

A very special thanks to all those who entered the contest, our judges and Seagate for supplying the prizes.  I’ve got a few more details to point out before showing you the top 10 photos.

Prizes

  1. First Place – Seagate FreeAgent Go Drive 500GB ($240 value)
  2. Second Place – Seagate FreeAgent Go Drive 320GB ($140 value)
  3. Third Place – Seagate FreeAgent Go Drive 250GB ($120 value)

To learn more about file management and safety for your photos, you can check out the ongoing Epic Edits article series on Photo Backup.

Judging

The judging will now be handed over to our four judges:

1. Rich Legg of LeggNet’s Digital Capture

2. Brian Auer of Epic Edits

3. Jeff and Lisa (jointly) of Beyond Megapixels

4. Darren Rowse of Digital Photography School

These four judges will then rank the images based on their own independent judgment in 1st through 10th place.

After they return the rankings to me, I will then determine the three winners based on the average rankings of the images.  In the event of a tie, a reader poll will be used to resolve the tie.

The winners will be announced and displayed on December 1, 2008 on Photography Bay.  (Read the full details here.)
