Cant get excited over this lens… Already have a Nikon 20mm f2.8 AF that I purchased about 24 years ago. With such a wide angle of view, and enormous depth of field, what’s the point of an extra stop in speed.?
The AF-S motor will be quieter of course…..
Since I purchased my Nikon 14-24 f2.8 AF-S, I have never used the old lens.
Look forward to see the comments

The new 20mm f/1.8 Nikkor will be a welcome addition to the line if its optical design has eliminated the annoying complex ‘moustache’ or ‘wavy line’ distortion that has plagued all other 20mm Nikkors. This distortion is very difficult to eliminate in PP.
The additional 1.3 stops of speed will help low-light work and enable greater separation between background and foreground.
