GE unveiled its refreshed line of point and shoot cameras at CES 2011. Additionally, GE added the DV1, a pocket camcorder, to its lineup.
The DV1 (top) captures 1080p HD video and features a built-in USB arm, much like the Flip camcorders that I’m so fond of. The DV1 is available now at an initial retail price of $129.99.
GE’s Power and Power Pro Series of cameras feature the GE X500, GE E1680W, GE E1450W and PJ1.
The X500 is a 15x superzoom camera with a 16MP sensor and optical image stabilization. The X500 should be available in February at an initial retail price of $149.99.
The E1680W features an 8x optical zoom lens with image stabilization, a 16MP sensor and 3-inch LCD. The E1680W should be available in February at an initial retail price of $159.99.
The E1450W is an ultra-compact camera with a 14MP sensor, 5x optical zoom and 2.7-inch LCD. the E1450W should be available in March at an initial retail price of $119.99.
GE’s Smart Series camera line includes more budget-friendly cameras like the J1470S, A1456W and C1433.
The J1470S is a 14MP camera with a 7x optical zoom lens and 3-inch LCD. The J1470S captures 720p HD video and features a flip-out USB plug for easy connectivity. the J1470S should be available in March at an initial retail price of $119.99.
The A1456W is another 14MP camera with a 5x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD. It should be available in March at an initial retail price of $89.99.
Rounding out the bottom-end of the GE cameras is the C1433, which features a 14MP sensor and 3x optical zoom. The C1433 retails for $79.99 and should be available in late January.
