The upcoming Tokina AT-X 11-20mm f/2.8 PRO DX lens went up for pre-order today at a $599 retail price. It should start shipping on March 2, 2015 for both Canon and Nikon mounts.
This is an APS-C format lens, which results in about a 17.5-32mm full frame equivalent field of view. It has a nine-blade diaphragm and internal focusing. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
Tamron has released its new SP 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD lens for Canon, Nikon and Sony A mounts. Note, however, that the Sony A-mount version does not include the VC motor for image stabilization.
The lens offers full frame coverage with XGM and LD glass elements in the front group to minimize chromatic aberrations, along with Tamron’s eBAND and BBAR coatings to reduce ghosting and flare. It has a 9-blade aperture and features a built-in lens hood.

Recent Canon rumors point to the release of a pair of wide-angle, stabilized zoom lenses for both EF and EF-S mounts in the coming days. The duo is believed to include the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM and EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lenses. [Read more…]
