Tascam’s DR-100mkII is currently available for $245 (reg. around $300). This is one of the better handheld XLR recorders out there, one that I think is better than the Zoom H4n. You can read my comparison review between the Tascam DR-100mkII, Zoom H4n and Olympus LS100.

B&H has the Tascam iM2 stereo mic adapter for the iPhone, iPad and iPhone for only $28.99 (reg. $89). Check it out here at B&H Photo.
Note, the iM2 doesn’t have the new Lightning adapter (as you can see in the above image), so it won’t fit the iPhone 5.

The Tascam iM2X stereo condenser mic for the iPhone is only $39.99 right now at B&H (reg. $79.98). The iM2X records in 16-bit / 44.1 kHz through the free Tascam linear PCM recorder app and supports the iPhone 4, 4S and iPads through the third-gen.
This price has probably dropped due to the new lightning connectors on current iOS devices, but it’s still a solid deal if you are using an iPhone 4S/4 or an prior-gen iPad. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
