Following up a previous rumor, there is more noise of a pair of new tilt-shift Canon lenses due in early 2014. The  current TS-E 45mm f/2.8 and TS-E 90mm F/2.8 are well-overdue replacement and should find similar updates as seen in the recent  Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L and TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II lenses. When Leica first teased the Mini M, I was ready to bet big on an APS-C mirrorless camera that accepts M-mount lenses. Then came the supposed leak that everyone pretty much took as gospel. It sure looked legit anyway.

The latest tease on the Leica website, however, casts doubt on the previous “leak” of the Mini M, which purportedly revealed its specs with a fixed lens in the 18-46mm range and a rather slow variable aperture of f/3.5-6.4. Canon PowerShot S200 and New Superzoom Cameras Leak Out

A pair of new Canon cameras surfaced in some Taiwan government filings, complete with photos of the new models.

The Canon PowerShot S200 showed is expected to replace the PowerShot S110. As can be seen in the image of the S200, it will feature 5x optical zoom lens (24-120mm equivalent), which is the same lens found in the current S110. [Read more...]

Olympus XZ-10 and M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II Lens Coming Soon

New leaks point to a new Olympus XZ-10 compact camera and 75-300mm Micro Four Thirds lens coming next week during the CP+ show in Japan.

The XZ-10 is rumored to be a high-end compact camera that will likely serve as a replacement or companion model to the Olympus XZ-2.

The new lens will be the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II Micro Four Thirds lens that will be a 150-600mm equivalent zoom lens. The first version of this lens is already listed as discontinued.
