While the new Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II won’t be officially announced until tomorrow, images and specs have leaked out early, leaving few questions as to what we can expect from the camera. The upcoming replacement for the PowerShot G1 X has leaked out a few days before release. The camera is rumored to have a slimmer body and lighter weight, as well as an external EVF. Most notable, the lens is expected to be improved to a 24-120mm f/2-3.9 lens (compared to the f/2.8-5.8 lens on the original G1 X).
Additionally, the G1 X successor should be equipped with a DIGIC 6 processor and cost around $700 USD.
Canon Digital Photo Professional version 3.13.45 is now available. The new version includes the following updates:
- Supports images taken with EOS 70D, EOS Kiss X7 / EOS Rebel SL1 / EOS 100D, PowerShot G16, PowerShot S120.
- Supports new lens (EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM, EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4X, EF-M 11-22mm f4-5.6 IS STM).
- The accuracy of the white balance in M-RAW and S-RAW images has been improved.

Apple has issued an update to Digital Camera RAW to version 5.01, which adds RAW image compatibility for several new cameras in Aperture 3.5 and iPhoto.

A pair of new Canon cameras surfaced in some Taiwan government filings, complete with photos of the new models.
The Canon PowerShot S200 showed is expected to replace the PowerShot S110. As can be seen in the image of the S200, it will feature 5x optical zoom lens (24-120mm equivalent), which is the same lens found in the current S110. [Read more…]
