Lightroom 5 Free Beta is Here! [Updated]

Lightroom 4 Main Interface

I expect to see the announcement later this week at the Photoshop World opening keynote, which takes place on Wednesday, April 17, at 9AM ET. Adobe is well-known for dropping big news at Photoshop World openers, and it looks like this one got a bit ahead of them. [Read more...]

Westcott Spiderlite TD6 and 7′ Parabolic Umbrella Hands-On

Westcott had a regular photographer’s playground set up at Photoshop World last week.  Even though it had just announced the TD6 Spiderlite and new 7′ Parabolic umbrellas, there were plenty to be seen and put through the paces on the expo floor between the great classes at PSW.

Editing Video in Photoshop

If you’ve been reading Photography Bay over the last couple of weeks, you already knew that you can edit video in Photoshop CS5 Extended. If you missed the prior post, check out the Bokeh 2 review where I applied a tilt-shift effect to a video file.

Unfortunately, I cannot convey in words just how much fun Scott Kelby and the rest of the NAPP gang manage to stuff into a few days.  Instead, I’ll just share the 10 (totally subjective) best things about Photoshop World 2010 and leave it to you to make it to the next one and experience it for yourself. Live Blogs From Photoshop World

There’s a whole list of bloggers posting updates from Photoshop World, providing pretty thorough coverage for those of us who aren’t there. John Paul Caponigro got the idea yesterday and managed to put it together in a hurry. He invited the ‘movers and shakers’ at Photoshop World to post the highlights of their day during each day of the convention, and so far, it’s going well.

So far, the list of participating bloggers includes the following:

They keep trickling in, though, so it’s worth checking back to see who else has added their thoughts about the various talks going on.
