After earlier rumors of Android-powered mirrorless cameras from Samsung, a couple of the rumored model numbers (the NX-R and NX300) showed up on Samsung’s website.
As those earlier rumors indicated, the NX-R is expected to follow the design of the Samsung NX20 with the upgrade to Android OS. And the NX300 is believed to be an Android-powered successor to the Samsung NX210 and should add a new optional EVF and OVF to the design. [click to continue…]
Rumors for Canon’s upcoming high MP DSLR suggest that it will essentially be on the same level as a Canon 1-Series DSLR according to the latest tips coming in at Northlight Images. However, there is still no solid info on whether the camera would carry a 1-Series designation alongside the 1D X and 1D C.
Recall that earlier rumors pointed to a 46MP full frame DSLR to be unveiled at PhotoPlus in October 2012 and it was previously rumored to be dubbed the 3D; however, that naming designation no longer seems to hold water. [click to continue…]
The Nikon D800 and its 36MP of resolution has sort-of overshadowed Canon’s “lowly” 22MP 5D Mark III in both the resolution and dynamic range department since the cameras were announced earlier this year. The lastest rumors of Canon’s lower-priced full frame DSLR suggests a Canon EOS 6D badge and an October unveiling date. Additional rumors emphasize that the focus is on making the full frame camera not only more affordable but also a smaller overall package.
Previous rumors suggested this camera would essentially work out to be a full frame version of the Canon 7D with a 22MP CMOS sensor and a sub-$2000 price point.
