People like taking photos.  And they apparently like using Nikon cameras to shoot those photos.  At least that’s what it seems like when looking at Nikon’s 1st Quarter Fiscal Year 2012 (April 1 – June 30, 2011) results. [click to continue…]

Amazon is currently running a deal on the Nikon D3100 that gives to you the body, 18-55mm VR kit lens, Nikon camera bag and a Nikon school DVD for $634.

The D3100 is a real gem at this price.  The photos are rock solid from this camera, and the video is acceptable for casual use.

See the complete details of the offer here.

A couple of big deals on the Nikon D3100 and Nikon Coolpix S1000pj.  Amazon has the Nikon D3100 for $639 $599, which is just about as low as I’ve seen the price so far.  Additionally, the S1000pj is last year’s model of Nikon’s point and shoot with a built-in projector.  The S1100pj that replaced it currently costs twice as much.

Hit up the links below for the deals.

Nikon D3100 for $639 $599 (exp 11/28)

Nikon S1000pj for $149 (exp 11/30)
