LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt 2

Lacie’s Little Big Disk Thunderbolt 2 drive that was announced at CES 2014 is now available for $1299. It houses two 500GB PCIe SSD drives in RAID 0 configuration with transfer speeds up to 1,375MB/s. If connected in parallel on the new Mac Pro with Thunderbolt 2, they can deliver speeds up to 2,600MB/s. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt SSD

LaCie has announced the latest model to join its Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Series. Built for video professionals, the LaCie Little Big Disk now includes SATA III SSDs that boast speeds up to 635MB/s read speeds – a 33 percent increase from the previous model. For comparison, I got 231MB/s read speeds out of the WD Thunderbolt Duo drive (still very fast).
