JVC’s New Action Cam

 JVC GC-XA1 Adixxion

JVC has a new action cam to compete with GoPro.  It’s the JVC GC-XA1 Adixxion.

It features 1080/30p and 720/60p video capture, a 1.5″ LCD and a 5x zoom.  It will also capture 5MP still images and includes built-in Wi-Fi and a wireless smartphone link.

The camera should be available in August for $350.  Check availability at B&H Photo.

JVC GY-HMQ10 4K Cam

The JVC GY-HMQ10 is a new 4K camcorder, which captures the full 3840 x 2160 resolution at 24p, 30p and 60p frame rates.  Yeah, 60p at 4K…

The HMQ10 features a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor at a true 8.2MP for pixel-to-pixel rendering of the 4K image.  It is equipped with a fixed 10x zoom lens with an f/2.8 minimum aperture (f/4.5 at full tele).

JVC GC-PX10

The JVC GC-PX10 is officially slated for release this month in the US.  The PX10 is very similar to the PX1 we saw earlier this year at CES 2011.

The GC-PX10 features a 12.75MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor and captures 1080/60p video at a 36Mbps sample rate.  The 10x zoom lens covers an equivalent focal range of 43.3-433mm when shooting video and 37.4-374mm when shoots stills. [click to continue…]

JVC GC-PX10

The JVC GC-PX10 is a follow-up for “select markets around the world” to the (Japan-only) GC-PX1 that was introduced at CES this year as a concept model.  Aside from the still image resolution (12MP vs. 10MP), the specifications, body and controls of the new GC-PX10 appear to the same as the GC-PX1.
