B&H has the solid little G-Drive Mini 500GB external hard drive for only $109 right now (compare at $144). Read my prior review of the G-Drive Mini. It’s nice to see hard drives coming way back down in price again… Check out the deal here at B&H Photo.

G-Tech showed the G-Dock ev and G-Drive ev hard drives (shown above) at NAB 2013. I stopped by their booth to take a closer look at them.

G-Tech unveiled a new G-Drive Mini at CES 2013. I’m a big fan of the old G-Drive Mini units that sport dual FireWire 800 connections. The new G-Drive Mini units keep the dual FW800 ports, but also add a USB 3.0 connection and a 1TB 7200RPM hard drive (up from 750GB). [click to continue…]

G-Tech was on-hand at CES 2012 showing off a couple of recent products from its line of performance storage products.
The G-RAID with Thunderbolt comes in 4TB, 6TB and 8TB capacities priced at $799, $999 and $1199, respectively. It packs to 3.5″ drives at 7200RPM each as single 2TB, 3TB or 4TB drives. [click to continue…]
