Canon A495

The Canon PowerShot A495 is available as Amazon’s Gold Deal of the Day for $49 today only.

The Canon A495 is a 10MP point and shoot camera with a 3.3x optical zoom lens.  No real bells an whistles on this one, but then again – it’s only $49.  I just ordered one for my 8-year-old (his favorite color is blue).  It will be his first camera.

Here’s the direct link to Amazon’s listing.

Amazon has a killer deal on Lightroom 3 as its “Gold Box Deal of the Day” for only $119.99 – the cheapest I’ve ever seen the full version.  Here’s the link.

Note that these deals typically don’t last all day since Amazon only has a limited number at the “Deal of the Day” price.

UPDATE: Looks like Amazon is putting up another seller’s offering now at $199; however, you can still get the Lightroom 3 deal by clicking the “Add to Cart” button for the Amazon product where it says “More Buying Choices.”  It says “ships in 2-4 weeks,” but you’re still saving over $80 off the next lowest price.  See pic below. Amazon is running one of its “Deal of the Day” promotions on Lightroom 3 today.  For those unaware, Lightroom 3 is a RAW image processing program that makes life working with RAW files so much easier.  It also carries a hefty retail price of $300, so getting it for $189 is a real bargain.

If I could only have one photo editing program, this would be it.  Here’s the link to the deal page on Amazon.
