Nikon D3300 Leaked?

Nikon D3300

Images of the Nikon D3300 showed up on Nikon Rumors thanks to an anonymous tipster. The images, if legit, show that the D3300 is essentially the same design as the D3200 (no surprise there).

The Nikon D3200 was announce back in April 2013, so it’s not quite time for the D3300 to officially drop; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if the D3300 showed up at CES 2014.

Canon EOS M2 Coming Early 2014?

Canon EOS M-5

Rumors for the Canon EOS M successor continue to build for an early 2014 launch. Previously, the camera(s) was rumored to feature the 70D‘s 20.2MP APS-C sensor and the excellent Dual Pixel AF functionality.

It’s no real surprise to hear more on the EOS M2 since it has already showed up in Canon’s own DPP software. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the EOS M2 in early January at CES 2014.

Sony A-Mount Mirrorless Patent

The rumors have been out there for a while – Sony is done with the Translucent Mirror Technology and going full mirrorless in its Alpha A-mount cameras. As impressive as the Sony A77 and A99 have been, they may very well be a dying breed in the Sony Alpha lineup. A recently published patent application seems to offer solid support for these rumors as well. [Read more...]
