OWC has a new 480GB SSD drive that serves as an internal hard drive upgrade for the MacBook Pro Retina. The Aura Pro is available as a single replacement drive or with the Envoy Pro kit that features an enclosure with USB 3.0 connectivity for putting the original drive that you’re replacing and using it as an external drive.

The Fuji X100S was supposed to be officially unveiled tomorrow morning here at CES 2013. However, Fuji UK jumped the gun today and published the details on the new camera in an official press release, which has since been removed from Fuji’s site. [click to continue…]
Ahead of CES 2013, Samsung has launched its new NX300 camera. The Samsung NX300 is a new 20.3MP mirrorless camera that captures both still images and 1080p HD video. Additionally, the NX300 can capture 3D photos and video with the new NX 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D lens.
The NX300 features a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25,600 and 9 fps continuous shooting mode. Other features include a 3.31″ AMOLED touchscreen display and iOS and Android WiFi connectivity through Samsung’s Smart Camera app.
The Samsung NX300 retails for $748 and is already available here at B&H Photo.

Fujifilm has a press conference scheduled for January 7, 2013 (next Monday) just prior to CES 2013. Photo Rumors is reporting that the Fuji X100s and X20 will be announced that day and will both be similar to the X100 and X10, respectively.
The Fuji X100s should contain the same leaf shutter as found in the X100, which is great news. The X100s should also offer focus peaking as an additional feature to aid in manual focusing.
I’ll have more on this from CES 2013 (hopefully live).
Alongside the Canon 70D and 7D Mark II rumors, a Japanese magazine published its take on upcoming Nikon DSLRs for 2013. The Nikon D7200 (presumably following the Nikon D7000) is rated at a 90% probability with rumored specs that include a 24MP APS-C sensor, 39-point AF and ISO 25,600 sensitivity. [click to continue…]
Several rumors of upcoming Canon DSLRs appeared in a Japanese magazine, along with what appears to be confidence ratings on the chance that they’ll surface in 2013. Atop the list are the Canon 70D and 7D Mark II with a 70% and 85% likelihood chance, respectively, that we’ll see them this year as obvious replacements to the current Canon 60D and 7D.
