Sony has unveiled a pair of new lenses for its NEX E-mount cameras – theĀ 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS powered telephoto zoom lens and the 20mm f/2.8 pancake lens.
The new 18-200mm lens offers built-in image stabilization and a powered zoom function that makes it useful for shooting video on NEX cameras. Newer NEX camcorders, like the NEX-FS700, NEX-VG900 and NEX-VG30, can control the lens’ zoom from the camera body with the help of a firmware update.
The 20mm f/2.8 pancake lens is a 30mm equivalent for NEX cameras, which makes it an effective walkaround lens for street photography and casual snapshots.
The E-mount 20mm f/2.8 lens should be available in April 2013 for $350. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
The E-mount 18-200mm powered zoom lens should be available in March 2013 for $1200. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
