Whilst on holiday in Hong Kong I decided to buy a camera and video camera.I went to the local high street where there was numerous shops that sold camera equipment, the shop I made my purchases in was A&B AUDIO CTR SH 5 G/F MIRADOR MANS 54 NATHANRD TST KLN HONG KONG. Terminal Number 31683167 Merchant number 005946R18457308.This was a well stocked and presented shop with numerous staff and customers nothing to ring any alarm bells or raise any concerns.
The camera I was interested in was The Canon 7D with a Canon 18-200mm lens (£1500 UK)approx which he proceeded to show me, we had a done deal I had paid for it HK $10000, but looking back I didn't actually have my hands on it. Then he proceeded to bring another camera out the Canon Rebel T3 saying "how this was the new model the upgraded version, lighter, smarter camera, high end, that the other camera was old out dated not HD, this was brand new out in Hong Kong first" why was I buying the old camera this was up to date model, as I was buying it on behalf of my brother in law back in the UK, I didn't want to get the wrong thing! After some 45 minutes (check the sales receipt) hard pressure sales and a complete pack of lies and misrepresentation of a product for another HK $1500 I had the very latest camera! Or so I was lead to believe.
Because I thought at the time everything was OK and this shop was genuine like you would expect anywhere in the world and its assistants and the manger himself come out to look after my interests, I decided to treat myself and get a little point and shoot camera for myself, which started off with just that showing me a couple of cameras and what they did (but looking back I was never allowed to actually to purchase these) they kept bring me out more high end saying "you don't really want something that old or that one doesn't do HD or the battery life on this is rubbish if you going to get one you'll have it for many years you need the best, so I got pressurised into purchasing a video camera for HK $4426 then after paying on my visa card I was told I needed to purchase extras ie leads software battery memory card which was another Hk $3400 and HK $360, the video camera was a Fujiyana DDV-378HD.Has you can see from the times on the transactions this was not a usual purchase or transaction as there are numerous charges to my card as I was bullied into these sales.
