As a Nikon user who still has and values his Nikon F, I ought to celebrate, but I am not.

Nikon has a Toyota problem. Too much, too soon. The Original Nikon 1's left everybody wishing for the next version, what with the so-so image quality, woeful focus speed and whatnot. So now we have this.

In addition to the just-released D600, which comes to us with oil-on-the sensor.

Is it possible that Nikon is trying too hard to recover too soon from Fukushima and the Thailand floods? The test reports will tell.
