The Canon XA20 and XA25 are a pair of new pro-level camcorders that serve as replacements for the 2-year-old XA10. The XA20 and XA25 sport a 20x zoom lens 3.5″ OLED touchscreen display and wireless connectivity for FTP transfer or control, review and sharing via iOS devices.
These new cameras capture AVCHD or MP4 video at 60p. A detachable carry hand provides dual XLR inputs with switchable phantom power. The XA25 features an HD/SDI connector for direct feeds from the camera.
The XA25 and XA20 retail for $2,999 and $2,499, respectively, and should be available in June 2013.
