It would be great if they went with Spec # 1 and did away with the Video functions ,then it would be a true stills camera ,who wants video anyway, don't use it .Can only hope !!

Spec 1 is interesting, though for many users the video is indeed an unused feature set. Sooner have a cheaper and better featured fully dedicated stills camera. Spec 2 isn't worth upgrading from my current 7D. If that is it from Canon I may look again at switching to Nikon, particularly now my 5D Mk II is showing its age too, the Mk III has nothing to draw me..

Canon needs to do SOMETHING for the "budget" 4K market before they are shut out of the game. Unlike 3D, which was never going to take off on a large scale, sitting idly on 4K and resting on the CineAlta-style prices isn't a long term solution for success AND putting gear in the hands of the masses. People will pay money for features they want, but being taken advantage of isn't going to work in this market. A $4k 4K solution should be the target, but I have a hard time believing that will ever come from Canon. If Sony updated their FS100 line and priced to sell, they could win the market - even over the GH4.

I have been browsing online more than 3 hours lately, but I never discovered any fascinating article like yours.
It's beautiful worth sufficient for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good
content material as you did, the web will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.
