Regarding Drobo 4. I have used a few Drobo boxes in the past. I started having trouble with two units where one bay went dead in each box. I contacted Drobo to get it fixed. What a shock. The warranty on both units had just run out. When I contacted Drobo Service they seamed very hesitant to help me address the problem. So I said let me send you the Drobo's and fix them. The price Drobo quoted to trouble shoot and fix each unit was 60% of the cost to buy a brand new unit.
No way can I trust this kind of product support.
