Samyang is all about building some hype this week. It released another image on its Facebook page today teasing upcoming lenses. This time, three sillouhettes of lenses appear along with a message: “Coming Soon. Our past is just a story.”
Hopefully, we’ll find out in a couple of days just what those new lenses are…

Samyang’s current line of photo and cine lenses are well regarded for the optical performance and low price. Offering AF versions of these popular lenses should be a real boon to the company and customers alike.
B&H has the Bower 16mm T2.2 cine lens for $399 (reg. $499). The lens is available in a variety of mounts, including Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sony E-mount, Sony A-mount and several others. It has geared focus and iris rings with a de-clicked aperture. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
DxO Labs has run the new Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens through its DxO Mark tests and indicates that it beats out other “budget” super-telephoto lenses, including Canon’s classic (and more expensive) 100-400mm L lens. Of course, it offers an additional 200mm on the telephoto end over the Canon lens as well.
