Rokinon’s new 14mm and 24mm Cine lenses are in stock and now shipping from B&H. The 24mm T1.5 and 14mm T3.1 lenses feature standard geared focus and aperture rings, as well as a smooth “declicked” aperture.

Zeiss has three prime lenses in development now – a 2.8/12, 1.8/32 and 2.8/50 macro. What’s more is that the lenses will be AF lenses. The Fuji X-Series versions will also feature a manual aperture setting.
Pricing is said to be similar to the Zeiss Sonnar 24mm f/1.8 for Sony Alpha cameras, which runs about $1100 USD. Expected availability on the new Zeiss lenses is in the Spring/Summer of 2013.
Carl Zeiss will be showing off the new Apo Sonnar T* 2/135 lens at Photokina 2012. The new lens will be available for Canon and Nikon mounts in the ZE and ZF.2 series, respectively.
The new Zeiss lens should be available in December 2012 for around $2000.
Samyang is bringing the new T-S 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC lens to market for Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony mounts. The new tilt-shift lens covers full frame sensors. It sports two aspherical elements and two extra dispersion elements. [Read more...]
