Iran recently made the news with the unveiling of its stealth jet, the Qaher-313, which may or may not even be able to fly. After some heavy criticism to that point, however, Iran released a photo of the Qaher-313 in flight high above the country’s own Mount Damavand.
Unfortunately for Iran, the rest of the world still hasn’t bought in to the Qaher-313′s ability to actually fly – since the nice photo of Mount Damavand had the below hanger shot (from the Qaher-313′s unveiling) Photoshopped into it.
The motion blur added to the jet is a nice touch – don’t you think? [click to continue…]
If you’ve ever had a cat, you’ve almost certainly spent an abnormal amount of time with a laser pointer in your hand as the cat chased it in futility. GoPro used some cats and laser pointers to show off its new GoPro HERO3 cameras and their powerful slow motion capabilities in its latest commercial, which you can see below.
The new GoPro HERO3: Black Edition serves as the flagship of the new lineup with up to 1440p at 48fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps, all of which aid in the slow motion prowess of the new camera.

There are of cellphone photographers in the crowd, along with a stable of pro DSLR shooters in front of the gates. I can only presume that the dude with the Macbook Air spent his savings on his computer and not on the latest iPhone…
Check out this iPhone 5 ad parody from Adam Sacks. In it, a rebranded Canon DSLR takes the place of the upcoming iPhone 5, which will apparently only be used for taking photos of food and sharing those on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Siri will even recognize the food your snapping photos of and suggest witty captions to go along with your Facebook and Twitter posts.
How many of you have ever left your lens cap on the camera and missed an important shot? (I’m guilty.)
The photographer in the above video had the misfortune of making that mistake in front of TV cameras for the whole world to see. I hope he still got a keeper or two after he figured out the malfunction.
