Sigma has announced the new full frame 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens for Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts.
It uses Sigma’s Hyper Sonic AF Motor (HSM) and covers an aperture range from f/1.4 to f/16. It also offers full-time manual focus override.
The new lens features a rounded 9-blade diaphragm and 15 lens elements in 11 groups. It has “F” Low Dispersion and Special Low Dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations, along with a series of aspherical elements in the rear of the lens to minimize additional distortions and aberrations.
The lens is compatible with Sigma’s USB dock for firmware updates and calibration, if needed. No word yet on pricing, but you can find out more about the new lens here at B&H Photo.
UPDATE: Pricing is confirmed at $849.
