The Canon PowerShot G1 X was a bit of an odd camera with its not-quite-APS-C sensor (around 1.85x) and rather slow lens. However, Canon appears to be prepped to launch a successor to the still powerful compact camera this month.
Rumors suggest that the camera will get a big bump in image quality (perhaps opting for an APS-C sensor this time around), a DIGIC 6 processor, GPS and WiFi connectivity. The camera is rumored to be available in April or May.
