New rumors point to the combination of the Winter Olympics and CP+ (both in February) as the perfect storm in which to announce the Canon 7D Mark II. New tips to specifications suggest improved AF speed and high ISO performance, along with a solid build and fast camera.
Canon certainly has room to improve the high ISO performance of its APS-C cameras. While the 70D was an improvement over the previous generation of 18MP sensors, the high ISO performance was only a marginal improvement.

I really enjoy my 7D and my only real criticism of it is the quality of image noise related to higher ISO settings. Personally I think it could use marked improvement from ISO 200 on up.
But the bullet points and price you have indicated would worry me. At that price point it’s not that much less than a 5D Mark III when found on sale. Granted… $400-$500 is still a chunk of change, but I think I would bit the bullet, pay the extra bucks and go full-frame.

The pricing wizards at canon will likely again be optimistic as to the value of the
“improved” 7D. The specs sound good, but not $1000-1200 more than the 7D
at “close-out” discounts. With the 6d available now for close to $1500 and the
5D3 sinking to $2700 or so, a 7D2 at $2200 will see a lot of shelf time.

Can we have that in an F mount?

Lots of video features = 4K + Global Shutter + Collaboration with Magic Lantern
I am willing to bet that with these specs there will be NONE on the shelf for a long long time
