Sony has unveiled it’s new HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder, which captures 1080/30p HD video and features a 120° X-Y stereo mic for high quality audio capture.
It captures CD-quality audio in uncompressed Linear PCM or compressed AAC formats. The camera sports a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and a wide-angle 120° Zeiss lens. A 2.7″ LCD is on the left side of the unit.
The HDR-MV1 features an Audio Lip Sync feature that ensures music stays in sync with video playback. Additionally, it offers manual or auto level controls, along with an on-screen audio meter.
As with Sony’s Action Cams, the HDR-MV1 features built-in WiFi for connecting with Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile app for iOS or Android. The app allows you to control the camera and upload content to your mobile device. Additionally, NFC support allows for easy connectivity with compatible Android devices.
The Sony HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder will be available in December for $299.99. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
