Numerous leaks and “confirmations” from around the web point to an unveiling of the Canon 70D at some point later tonight or in the early hours of the morning. Lots of official images are starting to leak out as well.
One of the more interesting statements being made is that the Canon 70D will have much better high-ISO performance that “is a great jump over extended ISO on the current 18MP sensors.” This is exciting news considering that decent performance we’ve seen from Canon’s long generation of 18MP sensors, which are now lagging way behind the performances we are seeing out of Canon’s full frame sensors.
