Sony recently unveiled its new Cyber-shot HX300 with a massive 50x zoom lens (24-1200mm equivalent). The camera features a 20.4MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and a 3-inch 921k-dot resolution LCD that tilts.
As you would expect on a camera with such a long reach, the HX300 provides optical stabilization. Additionally, the camera can capture 1080p HD video with stereo sound and can capture still images at 10fps.
The HX300 retails for about $500 and should be available later this month. Check availability at B&H Photo, Adorama and Amazon.com.
