We’ve seen a lot of price slashing this week on the Canon 5D Mark II, which has taken the full frame favorite below the $2k mark.
Now, it looks like the camera has now settled into the $1999 price point for a couple days at both B&H Photo and Adorama.

Singular Software has released a beta version of Plural Eyes for Final Cut Pro X. While FCP X offers the ability to automatically sync audio and video clips natively, it still comes up quite short for all but the simplest of setups. Multi-cam is next to impossible with FCP X; however, the new Plural Eyes beta release gives a glimmer of hope for editing basic multi-cam projects in FCP X by syncing multi-cam footage. Likewise, syncing multiple takes to a single audio clip is a challenge in FCP X, but is something that the new Plural Eyes beta shreds through easily. [click to continue…]

HDR Expose 2 is a new HDR program that leverages Unified Color’s Beyond RGB color technology. There are a gaggle of HDR programs out there and most of them seem to do very similar things. Olympus has unveiled the ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ lens for its Micro Four Thirds cameras. The new lens covers a 24-100mm equivalent field of view on full frame cameras and is optimized for HD video capture via a motorized zoom and quiet AF motor.
The Olympus ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ should be available in January 2012 at an initial retail price of $499.99. Check availability on Amazon.

When will the price drops stop on the 5D Mark II?
I’m not sure, but it sure seems like Adorama and B&H are trying to one-up each other day after day.
Adorama now has the Canon 5D Mark II for $1999. This price gets you bundle with a 5D Mark II body, a SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro card, a Slinger camera bag and a collection of Red Giant production software.
Your move B&H.
UPDATE: That was quick.

The deal is gone on Adorama; however, B&H now has the 5D Mark II for $1,999.95 here.
