Astronaut Mike Fossum talks us through his thoughts on photography from space and how the Nikon D3 (NASA is a big fan of Nikon) allows them to take incredible images at night. Check it out in the video below.

Some time this last year there was a you tube video going around the photo blogs. Any how it was this big shot from Kodak motion picture dept. talking about how digital sensors work blah blah blah. The one thing he said that stuck in my mind was Sony and Kodak and the bunch only ship there their digital camera and sensors by land and sea because at high altitude the cosmic radiation will kill the pixels. If thats the case how do the Nikons on the ISS survive? Or was that guy just blowing crap like Kodak always does?
