How to Lose $2400 in 24 Seconds

The above video is just painful.  I felt very bad for the 5D Mark II and its owner.

This video apparently did him some good though.  After racking up over 200K views (and counting) on Vimeo, Kurtis Hough updated in the comment section that B&H has offered to replace the camera for him.

Kudos to B&H.

Actually, it only took 1 second… reminds me of that joke, its not the fall that kills you, its that sudden stop at the end…

Is there someone who can confirm that Pentax K5 and some of the older models such as K7, K20D or K10D would have survived that ordeal?

I’ll have to remember this one!

When wanting to upgrade my gear, I’ll leave it in a stupid place and film it being destroyed … then post it on the web and someone will feel bad for me and give me a replacement!
