American Photo

You can get a 1-year subscription to American Photo for $5 over at Amazon right now, which is the same price you’d pay for one issue purchased at a newsstand.

The deal is valid through December 3.

Filter Kit

This is a 58mm filter kit, which fits most DSLR 18-55mm kit lenses.  At $5.99 and free shipping, it’s probably not the highest quality filters you’ll find; however, even if the circular polarizer is remotely competent, it’s worth the $6 you’re spending.

There are also kits for 52mm filter threads (for lenses like the Canon 50mm f/1.8) and 37mm filter threads (common in consumer camcorders like the Canon HF M30).

Nikon P7000

This is a 50% savings on the Nikon P7000, which retails for $500.  At the time of this post, Amazon has the P7000 for $249.

Considering the spec sheet, the P7000 is probably worth the $250 price point; however, it’s not a camera that I can fully recommend – unless you can really live with the slow speed.

The newer P7100 is a much better camera, but you’ll pay more for it as well.  You can find my P7100 review here.
