Seagate 1TB Portable Drive Sale

Amazon currently has a good deal on a bus-powered (i.e., it runs off the computer’s USB power) USB 3.0 external hard drive at 1TB capacity for $79.99.

As I’ve pointed out before, USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports.  I regularly use a USB 3.0 drive on both my USB 2.0 MacBook and my USB 3.0 desktop and it works like a charm.

Media Composer 6

Details on Media Composer 6 were briefly posted on Avid’s website.  Upgrades over MC 5.5 include native 64-bit, expanded file-type support with native RED, AVCHD, HDSLR footage support with no transcoding required, complete 3D end-to-end workflow, 7.1-surround audio support, and a whole lot more.

Jack - Swing Bag

The new Swing camera bag will carry a DSLR and up to 2 lenses, or a DSLR with a telephoto lens attached.  The Swing bag also has an iPad compartment and uses a shoulder strap design for a sling-type carry.
