Professional Photographers of America now provide $15,000 of photo gear insurance for U.S.-based PPA Professional Active or Life members with no additional charge beyond the annual membership cost.
An annual PPA membership at the Professional level runs $323, and already provides a number of benefits for pro photographers. However, the addition of equipment insurance as a benefit makes PPA membership seem like a solid bargain now.
Additionally, PPA offers an option to add a higher value of coverage on equipment up to $100,000 and covers additional people and more boneheaded mistakes. You need to opt-in whether you want the included coverage or additional coverage. Full details over at PPA’s website.
