Ambarella-A7L-DSC-EVK-and-Chip

Video compression and semiconductor company, Ambarella, has developed new system on chip that offers impressive image processing specs, which include 1080/60p video capture as well as 16MP 30fps still image capture.

Additional specs include built-in HDR processing, low power consumption and smart phone tethering.

Amazon has the Nikon L19 point and shoot camera for $49.99 (it’s 8MP with a 3.6x zoom lens).  The deal is supposed to last through October 3.

Canon 5D Mark II Rebate

Looks like the previously rumored $100 instant rebate on the Canon 5D Mark II is now official.

The deal is valid from Sept. 25 through Oct. 29, 2011.  You can find the deal at both B&H Photo and Adorama.

(UPDATE: You can still get the 5D Mark II for $2298 from Buy.com. I don’t expect this to last long though…)
