SanDisk and Harris Interactive recently conducted a survey asking people about the the importance of their family photo collection, which produced the results shown in the below infographic.

Last week, SanDisk introduced the Memory Vault, a product that SanDisk claims will preserve images in their original quality for up to 100 years, which was the impetus behind the survey.

I visited the Sandisk site and found very little information about the device. They state what it can do and how they ‘tested’ it for longevity of storage, but other than that the site seems to be rather sparse for information.
