B&H just emailed me this deal, $598.95 gets you a Nikon D3100 with an 18-55mm VR lens and a Red Giant Software Production Bundle, which includes:
The software alone would set you back almost $500 if you buy it from Red Giant’s website.
B&H says they have limited quantities at this price. Here’s the link to D3100 product page at B&H.
If you want to know more about the D3100, you can check out my Nikon D3100 review here.

It looks like the über-leaky new Sony cameras will be showing up in a couple of weeks if Photo Rumors‘ sources are right. June 3 is the slated date for the new A35 SLT camera, which replaces the Sony A33.
Alongside the new SLT (translucent mirror camera), Sony is expected to launch its next NEX camera – the Sony NEX-C3, which sports an articulating LCD and a tiny body. The new (and also leaky) 30mm f/3.5 E-mount lens and NEX flash should debut on June 3 as well.
Check out the leaked pics of the new Sony gear below. [click to continue…]

Next month, Think Tank Photo is releasing new, redesigned versions of its Speed Demon, Speed Freak and Speed Racer camera bags. The Speed V2.o series of bags are convertible shoulder/belt packs with a flip top lid that folds away for quick access to gear.
“The smallest, Speed Demon V2.0, can carry a standard size DSLR with a standard zoom lens attached (hood reversed) and a wide angle zoom lens beside. The medium size Speed Freak V2.0 also carries a standard size DSLR with a zoom lens attached and is tall enough to accommodate a 70–200 f2.8 lens in the bag. The Speed Racer V2.0, the most spacious of the series, effortlessly fits in the main compartment a pro size DSLR with a standard zoom lens attached and a 70–200 f2.8.” -Think Tank Photo
The new Speed series bags will be available in June; however, Photography Bay readers can use this link to sign up for an email alert direct from Think Tank Photo when the bags are available.

Sony’s new Memory Stick is its fastest ever made, chalking up data transfer rates of 50MB/s. Sony claims the new Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX is faster than the fastest UHS-I SD cards when used in Sony cameras. However, I’m not aware of any Sony cameras that are UHS-I compliant in the first place.
The new 50MB/s Memory Sticks should be available this May at the same prices of the previous generation cards in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB flavors. Look for them at B&H Photo.
