Ricoh GXR

Ricoh has announced that it will offer a Leica lens mount unit for the Ricoh GXR system.  The new unit will include an APS-C format 12.9MP CMOS sensor and will feature a newly-developed focal plane shutter.  The Leica GXR lens unit is set to be released Fall 2011.  No word yet on price.

I think the price will be under 1000 bucks.

What do you think?

Leica-M or -R mount?
Whichever, taking the 1,6 crop factor into account, this will become an expensive system.
For instance to get the FoV of a 28mm wide [classical] angle you’ll have to use the Leica M 3.5/18mm [for a mere € 2300] or its Zeiss counterpart ZM 4.0/18mm [at € 1050].
